NEW JOB OPPORTUNITY 07/20/08

Clerical Purchasing Support - for an engineering design firm in the
Blawnox area of Pittsburgh. This position will involve providing
administrative support to the Purchasing Department as well as some
purchasing responsibilities. We are looking for candidates with 2-3
years experience in a similar role, preferably supporting a buyer and
working with purchase orders.  Associate's degree preferred; excellent
communication skills required! Proficiency with MS Office is a must.

Purchasing Associate/Expediter - Temporary Opportunity -- also for an
engineering design firm in the Blawnox area. This position will involve
expediting raw materials and supply chain/schedule management
responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience
working with vendors in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Bachelor's
degree in related field required.  Excellent salary.  EOE.  This is a
three-month position with potential for long-term opportunity.

BUYER


The COUNTY OF BERKS Purchasing Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of BUYER.

This position is responsible for procurement activities supporting all County departments.  Responsibilities include Requests for Quotations, assisting and independently drafting and administering Invitations to Bid, drafting scopes of work and commodity specifications and Surplus Sales.

Qualified candidate will have at least 2 years experience in public procurement with an organization procuring at least $2 million annually.

Position requires an Associates Degree in Business Administration or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CPPB certification strongly preferred.

County of Berks offers a competitive salary and includes an excellent benefits package including retirement plans and tuition reimbursement.
