Chapter Meeting
Reading Area Community College

The next PAPPA Chapter Meeting will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 and will be hosted by the Reading Area Community College in Reading, PA. 

LOCATION: Reading Area Community College, at Berks Hall, 10 South Second Street, Reading, PA  19602, in the Berks/Penn Rooms.  Guards Cover the entrance and exit - you will need to tell them that you are there for a meeting.  Coffee and pastries will be provided by the Reading Area Community College.

PARKING: Free parking is available at location #9 on the campus map.

LUNCH: Ultimate Box Lunch has been ordered.  Please RSVP to Michael Hodowanec via email at mhodowanec@racc.edu or fax to 610-607-6263 no later than  Thursday, January 24th.  For those wishing to buy their lunch, they may do so at the cafeteria, the Ugly Oyster restaurant or the Peanut Bar restaurant located a few blocks from the college.

Federal Declared Disasters - To include information on Federal guidelines for Purchasing needed resources and federal reimbursement requirements in accordance with the applicable disaster regulations.

Chester County IU

The next PAPPA Chapter Meeting will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 and will be hosted by the Chester County Intermediate Unit. 

LOCATION:  Chester County Intermediate Unit, Educational Service Center, 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA  19335.  Telephone: 484-237-5156 or 484-237-5095. Driving Directions

PARKING:  Free Parking is available at location.

LUNCH:  A Hoagie Smorgasbord will be ordered by the CCIU which includes hoagies, pickles, peppers, onions, a side salad, potato a cookie tray and a beverage.  There is no selection for individuals attending as this will be a platter order, however, the CCIU will need a count of expected attendees in advance in order to place the order.  Please RVSP via email lizh@cciu.org by no later than Monday, March 17, 2008 at noon.

The next PAPPA Chapter Meeting will be held on Monday, May 12, 2008 and will be hosted by Whitehall Township in Whitehall, PA, by MaryAnn Ramey.

LOCATION:  Whitehall Township Building, Main Administration Building, 3219 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, PA 18052.  Coffee and pastries to be provided by Whitehall Township.

PARKING:  Free Parking is available at left side of the building.

LUNCH:  Catered at a cost of $10.00 per person.  Consists of Meat and Cheese tray, white and wheat bread, macaroni salad, potato salad, Hot baked beans, Turkey or Hamburger bar-b-q with rolls, soda and iced tea.  PLEASE RSVP to MaryAnn no later than 12:00 PM, Friday, 5/9/08. LOCATION:  Montgomery County, Human Services Center, Board Room, 1430 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA 19402-0311.  Coffee to be provided by Montgomery County

PARKING:  There will be no charge if parking in the facility garage.  The garage is located adjacent to the main entrance of the building.  Please take the ticket and bring it to the meeting with you to be validated.

LUNCH:  A Cafeteria is located within the facility for attendees to utilize at their own expense

Philadelphia County

LOCATION: School District of Philadelphia, Educational Center, First Floor Room 1072 Marin (note room change), 440 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130

PARKING:  Parking is available at several lots for approximately $8.00-13.00.  The rate depends somewhat on whether there are other convention activities going on, etc.  The best deal for parking is $6.50 for early birds before 8:00 AM approximately the same distance, one block away on 400 N. Thirteenth Street (one way northbound on your right) just north of Callowhill Street which is one block above the Vine Street Expressway.  This lot can also be accessed  by going south on twelfth street (one way southbound on your right) south of Spring Garden Avenue before the traffic light for Callowhill Street. Please note that the School District just started requiring visitor passes to be issued to all visitors.  This may not be required for entry before 9:00 am for an event on the first floor.  Please bring a photo ID just in case.

PARKING: Parking is available through the Reading Parking Authority (for current rates, refer to the Authority's website) , the lot located closest to the facility is the Penn & Court Street Garage, with an entrance on Court Street.  The Courthouse and Services Center are directly across from the entrance of the garage.  (The Services Center is the most recently constructed building with a large glass facade.)
