
September 21, 2001 Minutes

Our PA Public Purchasing Association (PAPPA) Chapter/Joint meeting, hosted by Steve Suder at The Delaware River Port Authority in Camden, NJ was called to order by Chapter President Mary Ann Ramey.
Attending were Mary Ann Ramey, Whitehall Township; Steve Suder, DRPA; Maureen McIlvaine, Bucks County; George Nader, Lehigh County; Hanna Price, Montgomery County; Bill Irish and Christine Parnau, Northampton County.
Minutes George made a motion to postpone approval of the July 23, 2001 meeting minutes until several discrepancies get straightened out. Chris 2nd the motion and all those present approved.
Treasurer's report was submitted in writing. George Nader made a motion to approve the Treasurer's Report as presented, Maureen 2nd the motion, and all those present approved.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Mary Ann made a motion to postpone committee reports until the next meeting. George 2nd the motion, and all those present approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mary Ann reported that Scott is still working on the PA State Tax exempt status and will make a report at the next meeting.
Ohio Share Fare Committee - Share fare went well and everyone enjoyed themselves. Board of directors will be discussing how much to reimburse Judy Cole for the expenses of hauling the share fare info out to Ohio.
Education survey - Price is still working on this.
Strategic Plan Committee - Mary Ann reported that they are continuing to work on.
Meeting minutes - George reminded us that the minutes are to be distributed to members 2-weeks after the meeting and that they are to be approved by the President before they go to the members. He also stated that Board of Directors meeting minutes have not been distributed from the July 23 meeting.
State Conference - Will be held October 9th to the 12th. Contact Mary Ann if you need more info.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board of Directors has approved a $500 donation to be made to the Red Cross through NIGP National for the events of the September 11, 2001 in New York and Washington.
Mary Ann announced she has a copy of the Government Purchasing Handbook from the Governor's Center for local Government Services and Department of Community & Education.
Our next meeting is scheduled for November 19, 2001 in Bucks County PA.
George Nader made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Maureen 2nd the motion and all those present approved.
